CONFERENCE PROGRAM

DAY 1 – Networking & B2B Meetings

  •  Leadership Forum with School Education Stakeholders : A series of discussions and networking opportunities with key representatives from the K–12 education sector, including School Owners and Board Members, School Leadership Teams, Principals and Vice Principals, Academic Directors, College & Career Counselors, Education Agents and Recruitment Partners from leading schools across Almaty and surrounding regions of Kazakhstan
  • Networking Lunch – An opportunity for delegates and participants to network, exchange ideas, and build meaningful professional relationships over lunch.
  • Higher Education Leadership Forum – Meetings and panel discussions with senior leadership from higher education institutions, including Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, Presidents, Rectors, Directors, Deans, Senior University Leadership Teams from from universities across Almaty, other cities of Kazakhstan, and invited higher education institutions from across the CIS region.
  • Pre-Scheduled One-on-One Meetings – Dedicated B2B meetings between participating institutions and stakeholders, scheduled in advance to facilitate targeted discussions on International partnerships, Student recruitment, Articulation and pathway agreements, Faculty and research collaborations, Exchange and mobility programmes & Other strategic collaboration opportunities
  • Afternoon Tea & Networking Break : Refreshments and informal networking among delegates and institutional representatives.

Day 2 – University Campus Visits & Cultural Experience

  • Hosted at a Leading Higher Education Institution in Almaty – Delegates will visit one of Almaty’s prominent universities for an immersive campus experience, beginning with a guided campus tour followed by an official welcome address from the university’s senior leadership.
  • Student Showcase : Hear directly from current students as they present their academic journeys, research projects, innovation initiatives, campus life, leadership experiences, and international engagement activities, offering delegates valuable insight into higher education in Kazakhstan.
  • Presentation on Higher Education in Kazakhstan by the host university’s senior leadership or academic representatives, focusing on pre-agreed topics such as the higher education landscape in Kazakhstan, internationalisation strategies, research and innovation, academic partnerships and mobility programmes, government initiatives and future opportunities for global collaboration
  • Closed-Door Leadership Roundtable : An exclusive meeting between the host university’s senior leadership and the international delegation to discuss opportunities for strategic collaboration, institutional partnerships, student and faculty mobility, joint research initiatives, and other areas of mutual interest.
  • Enjoy a traditional Kazakh lunch at one of Almaty’s renowned restaurants, providing delegates with an opportunity to experience the country’s rich culinary heritage while continuing informal discussions and networking.
  • Cultural & Sightseeing Tour of Almaty : The conference will conclude with a guided tour of Almaty’s iconic landmarks and cultural attractions, allowing delegates to experience the city’s history, architecture, local traditions, and vibrant atmosphere while strengthening relationships developed throughout the conference.

DAY 3 – International Student Recruitment Fair

  • Hosted at a Prominent High School in Almaty, Kazakhstan – The day’s activities will take place at one of Almaty’s leading high schools, providing an ideal setting to engage with prospective students.
  • Welcome Ceremony & Cultural Performance – Delegates will be welcomed by the host school with a traditional cultural performance presented by its students, followed by an official welcome address.
  • Morning Session – International Student Recruitment Fair – An undergraduate recruitment fair featuring senior secondary school students from leading high schools across Almaty and surrounding regions of Kazakhstan. Participating institutions will have the opportunity to showcase their academic programmes and campus experience, engage directly with prospective students and their families, provide guidance on admissions, scholarships, student life, and career opportunities, build institutional visibility within one of Central Asia’s emerging education markets.
  • Networking Lunch – A networking lunch bringing together delegates, school leadership, counselors, and education professionals to encourage meaningful conversations and relationship building.
  • Afternoon Session for a dedicated Post Graduate Recruitment Fair – This session will welcome undergraduate students from universities across Almaty and neighbouring cities who are exploring master’s degree opportunities abroad. Participating institutions will have the opportunity to present postgraduate programmes and research opportunities, engage with high-quality prospective graduate students, discuss admissions requirements, funding options, and career pathways, establish connections with future master’s and doctoral candidates.
  • Afternoon Tea & Networking : The day will conclude with refreshments, providing delegates and participants with additional opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional relationships.
